PJ's Music Blog

Thought I would finally use this blog again and talk about what I love most - Music and Pictures!

Let me give you a little background. A very dear friend that I've been friends with for 26 years and I started staying in touch better about 8 years ago or so. He was always a music buff. I always thought of him as a head banging metalhead that I got to know from keg parties back in the day.
Well I was bored a few winters ago living in the tundra - AKA Northern Minnesota. So I sent out an email to him and my daughter and her boyfriend that like more heavy music asking them to send me/everyone one a link to a song/playlist, etc. every sunday morning to have something to look forward to every week to help get through the winter! Well it was fun, listening to some new heavy stuff and also finding some old songs. Eventually my daughter and her man kind of dropped out because of workload and going to college, etc. But we kept it going. This past winter we added another music freak who is another good friend of mine. She is also a lover of music and has tastes for the wild side too. She started turning us on to some great tunes. Well then.... this summer I was at a cabin up north by Canada and head banging metalhead was there and brought another dude who had very eclectic tastes also and can dance too! We had to get him in on it. So now we are starting to share tunes by sending what we find online such as playlists, links, album recommendations to buy, etc. and give ourselves something to look forward to every week. Fun!
I've learned one thing in the last few years - always have something to look forward to! Make plans for something simple or a trip or a concert or a meetup with a friend. It helps get you through this thing we call life. When you are lonely or bored or just want to get up and groove, you can always play this playlist you create with your special friends and you just seem to feel a little happier.

Anyways, I'm going to be changing up this blog a bit and start making it interesting instead of a place that I keep packed away in a closet somewhere like all my other shit that just sits there.
New day, new year, new plan.

Rawk On!
