Where has a year+ gone?

In grad school! That's where.....double major! Internship! Fell in love, got hurt, stayed in love, been sad, been happy, repeat....trying to figure out what is next. Have had an internship experience that is great to watch, but no opportunities to really try much of my skills with dropping the ball. Over the last growing season, I started an organic garden project at the children's shelter for company I work for. It was a cool project and looking forward to watching it grow with volunteers and get more help. I am now in my last two classes of grad school for my first major, but while attending my school started a sustainable management major --my dream degree...and I had to sign up for it. I will have to go to school another year, but I am going to do it. I am learning quite a bit of some solutions to climate change and global warming. Currently studying about sustainable design of cities. Interesting! Big paper due today, 20 pages actually. I keep thinking of other things that happened this year. I got a new car because I had to! My vehicle broke down and it was time to look at getting something reliable. So I am happy with getting a new car. I even took a trip to Canada this summer for first time since I was a kid. But I had to apply and wait on my passport first. I drove around the entire Lake of the Woods with my dog. She had to have bladder stone surgery as she had a ton of stones to remove. I wrote a few grants this year and one was a major federal grant that helped keep myself and my staff working. But it help provide much needed interventions for our clients and I am thrilled about that piece of it. It has been a long time coming. Gardens at home keep on growing and I had a record crop of grapes this year which made me want to grow more and learn to make wine. So I did! I started buying things to do that and learn from those already making it. I plan to invest in the equipment to make a bunch for my 50th birthday. Better run and get lots done today! But felt the need to write something. Maybe I will post some pics on here soon of my life right now. Stay warm, this winter is brutal
