Finally got some sleep and woke up to the view outside my room looking towards mountains. I had to call down to desk and see when my original room would be ready since I was originally was supposed to arrive a day later. Mr. A had told me his trick about "getting things". Hold some money in your hand and ask them "is there anything you can do?" So I tried it when I went to the desk and asked them if they had a room with a view of the strip. Sure enough! It worked! Lady hooked me up. I had the money rolled up and probably looked like there was more there than there was, but whatever! I got a room with a view for the next 5 days for $5! lol
So I got everything transferred to the new room and I was quite comfortable. Was going to try and get some more sleep, but I was kind of just groovin in the room, got the internet hooked up on laptop, checking out some of the LV channels on the TV and enjoying the view and just RELAXING for the first time in a long time.
Life back home was crazy lately and it was nice to be away from it all to a place no one knew me or had any demands on my ass. Caught a buzz, took a long hot shower while looking out the window at Vegas. Yes there was a window IN the shower! Got dressed and ready and went down to gamble in the hotel for a bit. Didn't win much , but I was up! Headed back to room and Mr. A. called and was heading over in awhile. When he arrived, we had happy hour and headed out. Took me to a tatoo/smoke shop to check out and I purchased a cool item. As the night went on, and my buzz went higher, I eventually lost it in my fog. Figures! :( Oh well, we went to Bellagio Fountain, which as really cool. They played Viva Las Vegas for the water show set to music. That was most appropriate I thought! We had walked into the Hotel first and went through the Bellagio botanical garden. It had a chinese theme, as they changed the theme occasionally. It was very beautiful! There was this pig statue in there too, reminded me of the Pink Floyd flying pig, had to get a pic! Eventually we made it over to Caesars Palace. It was so beautiful! Watched some roulette over there so I could get an idea of how to play. We had plans to play at another place the next night. I had never played before. Seen Caesar! and his Roman God friend. They can wear that armour well! You could just feel in the air there was some high rollers in the joint. Nice place to visit though. Mr. A was telling me about Vegas and that "It's not who you know, its who knows you!" Boy his theory proved true when we got to the Rio and he was going to take me to the top at the Voodoo Lounge. We walk up and there is a bunch of people waiting in line to get in. He walks up to the guy at the entrance, (with some money in his hand, mine you) and we walk right in! The look on those peoples faces was priceless. Wish I had got a pic of that, but I wasn't that cold. lol So we get up there and its this dark bar with music blaring and I follow him and we end up outside looking out over the city from the top of the Rio! Wow!! This was best view in town I predicted! There was an outside bar, chicks dancing on these pedestal things. There was these heat lamp/fire things to stand by to keep warm. This was a fucking awesome view! I could not believe I was here! We started drinking and chatting and it was definitely a highlight of the trip. Some chick asked if I would take a pic of her and her boyfriend. Not a problem, then she took one of us and said something about you "have to put your hand on his heart"....and something about it looks so much more loving...or some shit like that. I didn't stop to tell the woman that I had never met this dude in my life in person until yesterday! haha, so what the hell. She took the pic! Internet friends partying at the top of the Rio at the Voodoo Lounge! It was a sweet deal right there.
We drove through the strip again at some point, my mind is a little foggy in which order of events happened, but it was all good, and lots of fun. We had plans to go to Hoover dam the next day and did not stay out too late. When I got back to room, i still ended up staying up until sunrise to get some pics of the strip with sun rising. My schedule was pretty much set for the rest of my stay. Stay up all night and sleep during the day. Back home they were having the worst blizzard in years! lmfao.... Day 3 coming up
